Steaming Rice

This is one of those classic easy to make and always go to recipes that you need to either know by heart or know where to go for to refresh your memory.
The rice in the pictures is brown rice, but I have also used white rice and even tried Arborio rice and it all works great !
So, here it is...

For 2 persons, you will need:
* 1/2 cup rice for steaming (thin, long grains), rinsed

* 3/4 cup chicken broth or water, cold
* any kind of seasoning you might like to add prior to steaming (I used kosher salt, Chicago Steak seasoning, tarragon, ground pepper, oregano, chicken seasoning)

Directions:
Fill your steamer with water to the maximum level and place the rice in the rice steaming basket,

then cover the rice with the steamer's lid and set the timer for 35 minutes.
When the time is up, fluff the rice gently with a fork, season to taste and serve with anything you might like to have next to your rice.
If you use chicken or vegetable broth, all the flavor will be absorbed by the rice grains.
Easy !
