Finally.
The mystery to making crisp hash browns has been uncovered.
Here is where I found the brilliant idea.
Oh - and I also dropped the potatoes into a cold water bath after shredding and until I pressed them using the potato ricer.

nu-i vine sa cred!!! asa faceam eu cartofii prajiti... pe vremea cand inca mai mancam cartofi prajiti... si nimanui nu-i mai placeau asa, doar mie imi placeau la nebunie.
ReplyDeleteasa se practica la restaurant...sa fie crocanti....ca daca nu-i storci de apa si amidon se lipesc si rezulta niste movile de "cartofi zdrobiti". Folosesti aceeasi ustensila?
