Whole Wheat Linguine with Turkey
Pasta has to be one of the easiest dinner options and one of the fastest and fail proof also.
Whole wheat has more health benefits for you and tastes really good, so why not use it ?
Lean ground turkey is one protein option which can be substituted for any other kind of meat that you might like instead. Mmm...chicken breast sounds really good !
So let's see what I did:
Ingredients:
1 handful of pasta
1 big teaspoon salt
1/2 lb or 200 gr ground turkey
1/2 teaspoon hamburger seasoning
1/4 teaspoon chicken seasoning
2 TBSP oil
2/3 cup tomato sauce
1 to 2 TBSP butter
2 TBSP Marsala or Sherry or Brandy (if you have)
Directions:
Place 6 cups of water in a big pot along with the salt.
Bring to a boil and place the pasta in, letting it boil until al dente...8 to 10 minutes.
Taste to make sure at the 8 minutes mark, drain and set aside.
In the meantime, place the rest of the other ingredients in a medium size skillet and stir to combine.
Cover and let cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring every now and then.
When ready, set aside.
Right before assembling, place the butter in a saucepan, melt it and add the pasta.
Toss to combine and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on medium, then place in the plate.
Spoon the turkey sauce and serve !
Easy and very tasty !
